Working together to build a sustainable and fulfilled health workforce

About the Canadian Conference on Physician Health
Supporting a vibrant profession for a healthy population

The Canadian Conference on Physician Health (CCPH) is a biennial conference showcasing both research and innovative initiatives that address issues related to physicians’ health and wellness within the medical training and practice environment, while providing a forum for learners and physicians across the career lifecycle, researchers, educators, administrators, and others to network and promote collaboration within the community.

In 2023, CCPH welcomed over 400 people online and in Montreal to explore how we can work together to build a sustainable and fulfilled health workforce. Over two days, participants connected candidly on the issues they faced in their day-to-day work and shared practical solutions for combatting real challenges like admin burden and burnout. Plenary speakers like Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Jane Lemaire also offered their expertise and research to participants, enriching conversations around wellness in practice. Read the event highlights

Join us next year for the biennial International Conference on Physician Health, which will take place on Oct. 2024 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The conference is jointly sponsored by Canadian Medical Association, American Medical Association and the British Medical Association. It will showcase research and system-level initiatives to mitigate burnout and promote professional well-being.
