The AGM is your opportunity to learn more about the association’s work this past year and help us achieve our new strategy, Impact 2040.

Vote on proposed CMA governance changes

To ensure equity and diversity in our presidency and at our board and committee tables, the CMA is proposing governance changes that include:

  • shifting to a national election for CMA president; and
  • creating a Leadership and Diversity Search Committee for CMA board, committee and other leadership positions.

All registered CMA members are eligible to vote to appoint the auditors, approve bylaw amendments and participate in the Q&A session. Appointed delegates have the same privileges as CMA members and they are eligible to participate in the GC vote for leadership positions.

If you are unsure about your membership status, please contact the CMA Member Service Centre (MSC) at or 1-888-855-2555. The MSC will confirm all registrants’ eligibility. All Canadian physicians, residents and medical students are all eligible for membership. Non-members, including physicians, medical learners and members of the public may register to observe the meeting.
